about
We have been performing this live for a while now, but owe a HUGE debt of respect and much love to our audio maven and friend Jarome for tightening up the beat, throwing in a pad and delivering that gorgeous guzheng sound in the break.
We're so happy with this that we're putting the final touches to a Video to go with it which will be ready in late September.
Next time someone tells you that nothing innovative or creative comes out of China - play them this.
The words are based on a Chinese poem from the Song Dynasty by Li Qing Zhao (1084-1155)
lyrics
ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE LYRICS
"Like A Dream"--(Li Qing-zhao)
Last night the wind was strong and rain was fine,
Sound sleep did not dispel the taste of wine.
I ask the maid who's rolling up the screen.
"The same crab-apple tree," she say,"is seen."
"Don't you know,
Don't you know
The red should languish and the green must grow?"
